The Challenge

Governance tends to fail quietly when roles, process, and next steps are unclear. Contributors needed to navigate proposals, permissions, and operations without turning everything into meetings or tribal knowledge. The challenge was making coordination legible and reliable within real governance constraints.

    Design Approach

  • Make roles and permissions explicit

    Clarified who can do what, and why, so contributors could act confidently without waiting on social confirmation.

  • Turn governance into a navigable flow

    Structured proposal states and handoffs so people could see progress, blockers, and next actions at a glance.

  • Reduce coordination overhead

    Designed lightweight patterns for updates, decisions, and execution so the system scaled without constant meetings.

  • Reinforce trust at decision points

    Emphasized review moments and decision clarity to reduce misalignment and accidental commitments.

  • Tabula, a web3 publication platform built in a 6-week sprint for writers, DAOs, and Ethereum-based accounts.
